Please note this role is based 5 days a week at our Shirebrook HQ.

As part of the People Performance team, reporting into a People Business Partner, you’ll work in a generalist role supporting the delivery of our people plans. You’ll partner with our Retail teams, specifically with Regional/Area Managers, supporting them with people solutions across multiple sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining trusted relationships with stakeholders
  • Holding regular reviews with stakeholders to review their people, covering all elements of the colleague experience
  • Working with other teams within the People function, including Recruitment and Learning & Development
  • Completing talent reviews with stakeholders, agreeing actions and proactively monitoring progress of these
  • Succession planning for key roles
  • Supporting with upskilling of managers
  • Maintaining a focus on colleague engagement
  • Supporting with new store openings and closure processes
  • Managing employee relations cases

Qualifications:

  • Ideally previous experience in a similar generalist HR/People role
  • Proven experience of managing employee relations cases, including complex cases
  • Experience partnering with stakeholders across an organisation - ideally exposure to people plans/talent management
  • Experience of working within a highly customer centric or retail environment
  • To be confident working with data
  • Natural curiosity and ability to solve problems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to make impact and build effective relationships
  • Ability to collaborate, persuade and influence
  • To be assertive, resilient and tenacious with the ability to work well under pressure and overcome setbacks and changing priorities
