About the role: Wise moves billions every month. Every single transfer runs through Send Experience. We own the send flow end‑to‑end: the product millions of customers touch, the discovery layer that makes local payment networks like Pix and UP feel native, and the platform holding tens of millions of recipient accounts worldwide. Three teams. One of the highest‑impact surfaces in fintech. We're making international transfers feel as easy as sending a message.

As an iOS product engineer, you won't just build that — you’ll decide what it looks like. Our mission is to make sending money as easy as possible. As an iOS engineer, you’ll be working on making the app experience truly exceptional. International at heart, feeling local and frictionless.

How we work: We’re a team split between London and Tallinn. We follow a hybrid working model, ensuring enough collaboration in‑person and focus time where people find it best.

What will you be working on? Over 10 million customers will use what you build. That’s not a vanity metric, it’s the weekly reality. The role is UI‑ and product‑focused. The work is deeply creative: flows that need to feel effortless whether it’s a first transfer from São Paulo, or a hundredth from London. Where animation timing, information hierarchy, and interaction design are real engineering problems — not afterthoughts. And this is not a ticket factory. You’ll sit with product and design from day one of an idea, challenge what 'best' looks like, and ship your answer. The strongest features we’ve built started with an engineer saying 'what if we did it this way instead.' We need more of that.

  • Craft send experiences that feel local everywhere
  • Build the future of recipient discovery: search, QR scanning, and more
  • Push what our iOS app can do, with thoughtful transitions, responsive interfaces, and micro‑interactions that make people smile
  • Own features end‑to‑end, from technical design to watching real customers use your work
  • Raise the bar across Wise by collaborating with 60+ mobile engineers to lift UX and code quality across the entire app

What do you need?

  • You’ve built app experiences people love and can show it
  • Strong in Swift
  • A genuine eye for craft: you notice when a transition is 100 ms too slow or a layout doesn’t breathe
  • You think in customer problems, not tickets: you push back when something doesn’t make sense and propose what should exist instead
  • Familiar with architectural patterns like MVVM or VIPER (we use both, happy to explore others)
  • You write testable code and care about what happens after you merge
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, you’re comfortable at the boundary between mobile and backend
  • You communicate clearly: technical ideas to non‑technical people, strong opinions held loosely
  • You work autonomously, but you make the people around you better too

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with SwiftUI, Structured Concurrency, or CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
  • Familiarity with internationalisation patterns for apps serving many markets
  • A fintech background — but absolutely not required

What do we offer: Starting salary: £87,500 - £115k + RSUs

How to prepare for a job interview at jobr.pro

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If jobr.pro uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
