We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the delivery of a Finance Transformation program, with primary responsibility for the Finance domain. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise across Oracle Fusion Cloud finance data structures, cost centre architecture, and data extraction, while owning the governance and documentation work stream for all Finance side definition workshops. This is a hands on technical role requiring deep expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud, General Ledger data models, cost centre hierarchies, and GCP pipeline development.
The candidate will audit and redesign the cost centre estate, define cross billing and allocation rules, build and validate the Oracle extraction pipeline, and own the documentation outputs that feed the Data Dictionary and governance sign off record. Where both HR and Finance domains are in scope simultaneously, the analyst will own the Oracle extraction end to end, working in parallel with the HR domain analyst under the architectural guidance of the GCP Data Engineer. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating across governance and technical work streams, moving between facilitating definition workshops with Finance stakeholders and building extraction logic in GCP.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical SME for Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials, providing technical leadership across ERP Cloud data architecture, integrations, and reporting requirements, and advising stakeholders on Oracle Cloud best practices.
- Audit the Oracle Fusion Cloud cost centre estate, design the target functional reporting hierarchy with stakeholder sign off before pipeline build begins, and define cross billing and cost allocation rules to support project based working practices.
- Document the basis tagging approach so the same data pipeline serves statutory, management, Lloyd's, and regulatory reporting simultaneously from a single extract without rerunning per reporting basis.
- Design, build, and validate Oracle Fusion Cloud integrations and extraction logic using REST APIs with SOAP fallback, covering General Ledger entries, cost centre hierarchies, cost allocations, and month end close figures.
- Own the Oracle extraction segment end to end where both HR and Finance domains are in scope simultaneously, stamping every extracted record with its source trace before publication and validating data against agreed definitions before certification.
- Ensure the data model supports multi basis reporting and deliver reporting solutions for executive dashboard and Finance Business Partner requirements.
- Own all Finance side definition workshop scheduling, capture, and documentation, producing outputs that feed the Data Dictionary and governance sign off record, and hand over the Finance data model to the internal team.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years working directly with Oracle Fusion Cloud finance data structures - General Ledger, cost centre hierarchies, cost allocations - with direct experience auditing or redesigning cost centre models, not only producing reports from them.
- Strong understanding of multi basis financial reporting: statutory, management, Lloyd's, and regulatory bases, and how a single data model must serve all bases simultaneously.
- Experience facilitating or supporting definition workshops with Finance Operations, Finance Business Partners, and Finance Business Systems stakeholders, and translating outputs into structured data specifications.
- Ability to document cross billing and cost allocation logic clearly for both technical and governance audiences.
- Working level GCP pipeline experience: sufficient to build and validate Oracle extraction logic using Cloud Dataflow and Cloud Composer under architectural guidance, and to query and validate data in Cloud SQL.
- Strong client facing consulting and communication skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Required Technical Skills
- Oracle Fusion Cloud - General Ledger, cost centre hierarchies, cost allocations, and month end close - via REST APIs with SOAP Web Services fallback.
- Multi basis reporting design (statutory, management, Lloyd's, regulatory), basis tagging at ingestion, and data validation and reconciliation.
- Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Composer, and Cloud SQL.
- Data Dictionary field definition, validation, and certification workflow compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials Certification.
- Exposure to Oracle EPM or driver based planning tools.
- Experience with multi country or global ERP deployments.
- Insurance or Lloyd's market background with awareness of Lloyd's reporting requirements.
- Experience working within consulting or professional services organisations.
- Technical depth in Oracle Fusion Cloud finance data architecture and extraction, with the ability to work independently and drive technical outcomes within an established architectural pattern.
- Strong workshop facilitation and documentation skills, with attention to detail in data validation and cost centre design.
- Collaborative working style with the ability to operate across governance and technical work streams simultaneously alongside a parallel HR domain work stream.
Success Criteria
- Audit the full cost centre estate and produce a signed off target Level 1 hierarchy before pipeline build begins.
- Deliver an Oracle extraction pipeline producing validated, lineage stamped GL and cost centre data to the unified data store.
- Design and validate the basis tagging approach, serving all reporting bases from a single extract.
- Document all Finance domain definition workshop outputs and incorporate them into the governance sign off record.
- Hand over the Finance data model and documentation to the internal team before disengagement.
