Hybrid working – our approach is to be in the office or on client site a minimum of 2 days per week. We're seeking an exceptional Operational Resilience consultant to join our Digital Trust and Cyber Security Team. PA's Operational Resilience team assists clients in crafting and establishing robust businesses, safeguarding their reputation, addressing regulatory demands, and upholding their competitive edge.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Analyse end‑to‑end operations for business resilience.
  • Work with a broader approach, moving beyond traditional business continuity management in today's organisations.
  • Critically assess resilience in all vulnerable areas of the organization.
  • Handle diverse resilience elements, including third parties, people, security, and vital IT functions.
  • Ground your work in the fundamentals of risk management, which are essential for navigating the intricacies of modern business.
  • Play a part in shaping and developing PA's Operational Resilience team.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and create assets that enhance the team's capabilities.
  • Work in an environment that deeply cares about its values.

Essential requirements:

  • Consultants with a multi‑disciplinary outlook to deliver our view of what makes a business resilient.
  • An ambitious consultant who has a passion for designing resilience businesses and building a more robust economy.
  • A self‑motivated individual with an unwavering sense of pride in their work and a clear record of success.
  • Stakeholder management skills, capable of managing interactions across the business.
  • Knowledge of the operations of an information technology department and the importance it plays to successful business operations.
  • Confidence and interest in where IT can make a business vulnerable is a must.
  • Technical experience (typically three years or more) in many of the following is essential (including regulatory requirements): Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, Third Party Risk Management, OCIR, Crisis Management, IT Service Management, IT continuity, Security, Risk Management, Supply Chain Resilience, Disaster Recovery.
  • Familiarity with IT service models such as COBIT and ITIL would be beneficial.
  • Experience with relevant international standards for resilience, risk management, information security and service continuity.
  • Certification to relevant industry bodies such as BCI, DRI, CISSP, IRM would be desirable.
  • Familiarity with Financial Services Regulation and a financial services background, but recognises that resilience principles apply across sectors.

Please be aware that some of our UK roles at PA Consulting require a UK security clearance. All PA people are required to undergo background checks and to achieve the Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Some UK roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting, where applicants must have at least 5 years of continuous residency in the UK. We therefore ask that you only apply if you meet the residency requirements (i.e. you are a British citizen or have been resident in the UK for the past 5 years).
