Job Description
We’re looking for a proactive and organised Team Leader to oversee our day-to-day production activities, ensuring smooth processes, high performance, and a safe working environment.
About the Role
As a key member of our operations team, you’ll manage a team of Operators and coordinate valve production to meet customer demand, backlog requirements, and quality standards.
You’ll work closely with Planning and Purchasing teams to ensure parts are delivered on time, enabling your team to keep production flowing efficiently.
This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role where you’ll lead by example, maintain high standards, and drive continuous improvement across your area.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and motivate a team of Operators to achieve daily performance targets.
- Coordinate production activities in line with customer demand and backlog.
- Work collaboratively with internal Planning and Purchasing teams to ensure timely parts availability.
- Maintain accurate build and test instructions, ensuring internal processes run smoothly.
- Use data‑driven insights to support decision‑making, including daily SQDCP reporting.
- Actively participate in tier meetings, contributing to problem‑solving and process improvements.
- Uphold 5S housekeeping standards and promote an organised, efficient work environment.
- Implement efficiency improvements and address design, infrastructure, or process‑related issues.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other Team Leaders and the Health & Safety Manager to address safety needs.
- Remain adaptable as responsibilities develop alongside business needs.
