As a Technical Project Manager, you will join our team to support our activities within the Aerospace sector. You will play a key role in delivering engineering programmes across a dynamic project portfolio, supporting both new product development and legacy programme activities. Operating within an integrated project environment, you will take ownership of defined work packages, ensuring delivery against quality, cost, and schedule objectives.

Location: Luton

On Site: 3 days a week

Clearance: Eligibility for UK Security Clearance

Experience Level: Mid to senior (6-15 years)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of Engineering Work Packages, ensuring delivery to Quality, Cost, and Schedule (QCD) targets
  • Support delivery across a portfolio of programmes, including development, in-service, and close-out activities
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities within the Integrated Project Team (IPT)
  • Manage project risks, issues, and actions, ensuring timely resolution
  • Track and report progress using project management tools and dashboards
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, supply chain, and programme teams
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the project delivery function

Qualifications Required Skills:

  • Strong experience in technical project management within engineering environments
  • Proven ability to manage work packages or sub-projects
  • Experience working within multi-disciplinary engineering teams
  • Strong understanding of project delivery principles (QCD, risk management, planning)
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and coordinate across functions
  • Experience using project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera, or similar)

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience
  • Experience in aerospace, defence, or other complex engineering sectors
  • Demonstrated experience in project delivery or programme support roles

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working within matrix organisations or portfolio-based delivery environments
  • Familiarity with engineering development lifecycles
  • Exposure to continuous improvement or PMO environments
  • Understanding of regulated or safety-critical industries
