The role is responsible for driving colleague development, leadership capability and engagement across the contract. It focuses on identifying development needs, embedding learning and people initiatives, coaching managers and supporting talent and succession activity. Regular national travel will be required.

Culture & Hospitality 360 Excellence

  • Create one connected Hospitality 360 culture across BaxterStorey and Portico, embedding initiatives that strengthen employee and guest experience.
  • Partner with operational leaders and NatWest stakeholders to ensure values, behaviours and shared people objectives are visible in everyday practice.
  • Champion engagement, inclusion and belonging, using insight to support action planning and continuous improvement.

Leadership & Capability Development

  • Partner with Learning & Development to implement initiatives aligned to business, client and brand priorities.
  • Identify capability gaps, support development plans and coach managers in leadership, communication and people management.
  • Promote continuous learning through coaching, mentoring, peer learning and modern learning approaches.
  • Coordinate and evaluate learning activity to ensure it improves performance and customer experience.

Talent & Performance

  • Support effective performance and development conversations.
  • Support talent identification, succession planning and internal progression across the contract.
  • Develop initiatives that improve retention, engagement and career growth.

Team Member Experience

  • Support onboarding and induction with operational leaders and Learning & Development.
  • Improve the colleague lifecycle through stronger communication, recognition, feedback and engagement actions.

HR Partnership & Leadership Support

  • Work with operational leaders and HR Business Partners to promote consistent people practices and support managers with policies and procedures.
  • Monitor people trends, risks and opportunities, escalating where needed and using insight to inform decisions and change activity.

Qualifications Skills & Experience

  • Experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development or People Development, ideally within a multi-location operational environment.
  • Strong coaching, facilitation, mentoring, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting leadership development, employee engagement, culture change, talent or succession initiatives.
  • Ability to analyze people data, identify development opportunities and manage projects effectively.
  • Passion for developing people and creating inclusive, high‐performing cultures.

Desirable

  • Hospitality, service or customer experience sector experience.
  • Coaching, CIPD or equivalent Learning & Development qualification.
  • Experience working within a multi-location operation.
