We are searching for a fun and enthusiastic full‐time Night Auditor at Novotel London Blackfriars. Our Night Auditor will report to the Front Office Manager and work under the direction of the Night Manager during overnight operations. As the hotel's representative overnight, you will act on behalf of senior management, meeting guest expectations while ensuring a smooth and efficient night operation.

You are required to be fully flexible across week nights and weekends, with shift patterns alternating between 8.45 pm – 7.00 am or 9.45 pm – 8.00 am, four days a week. Some flexibility is also needed for occasional day shifts to cover annual leave and sickness.

Success in this role requires strong organisational and communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently. You will be responsible for completing accurate night audit processes and maintaining the hotel's financial and operational reporting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting end‐of‐day financial audits, including reconciling accounts, verifying transactions and ensuring accuracy of financial records.
  • Facilitating check‐in and check‐out processes during overnight hours, ensuring accuracy of room charges, payments and guest information.
  • Generating and distributing daily reports summarising financial transactions, room occupancy, and other relevant information for management review.
  • Acting as the primary hotel representative overnight, ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel in the absence of senior management.
  • Assisting guests during overnight hours, responding to enquiries, handling reservations and supporting late‐night arrivals and early departures.
  • Proactively resolving guest concerns, aiming for positive and mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Monitoring hotel safety and security systems overnight, working alongside the hotel's dedicated security team, responding appropriately to incidents, alarms or emergencies and escalating issues as required.
  • Assisting with the preparation or service of the night menu and ensuring guest requests for food or beverages are handled efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience using a Property Management System (Opera Cloud desirable, but not essential).
  • Exceptional customer service, communication and time‐management skills.
  • A friendly and warm personality with immaculate grooming and presentation.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Willingness to use initiative and strong problem‐solving skills.
  • Proactive, resourceful approach with high accuracy and attention to detail.
