As Director of Sales, you lead the property’s segmented sales efforts and deliver revenue, market share, guest satisfaction, and financial objectives. You oversee daily sales activities, implement strategies for group, transient, and catering segments, and align them with brand initiatives. The role requires building long‑term client relationships, partnering with Revenue Management to optimise pricing and mix, managing key segments, and supporting all sales channels. You lead a high‑performing team, develop talent, and ensure compliance with Marriott International policies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute segment sales plans to achieve revenue and market share goals.
- Lead and coach the sales team; set booking goals and manage performance.
- Manage key segments including Diplomatic, Consortia, Incentive, Leisure, Business Travel, and Meetings.
- Partner with Revenue Management on pricing, forecasting, mix, market adjustments, and revenue actions.
- Use sales systems to analyse trends and implement actions to achieve room and catering targets.
- Collaborate with Market Sales, the London Sales Office, Global Sales, and electronic lead channels; participate in sales calls to acquire and close business.
- Approve catering space releases with Event Management and support hotel promotions.
- Manage budget planning, wages, expenses, the 0470 statement, and sales incentive and bonus programmes.
- Ensure compliance with brand sales processes and policies; perform other duties as required.
