Are you interested in working for a Global Tech business who provides clients in Construction & Civils with market-leading software and hardware solutions? If you are interested in working in this kind of innovative environment and you’re a motivated Product Delivery Software Engineer or Dev Ops Engineer, then we have an excellent role based in our Leeds office, predominantly supporting our Tekla suite of products. You will work closely with your fellow Software Engineers in Leeds but you’ll also collaborate with colleagues based in Espoo, Finland. Giving you the opportunity to work on key projects and deliverables.

We will consider applications from people with good analytical and problem solving skills. Experience of a high level programming language such as C#, Java or Powershell and a good understanding of Microsoft operating systems and/or software application development technologies would also be beneficial. We are also happy to consider applicants with different experience levels, to include graduate or entry level, intermediate and more experienced developers.

What You Will Do:

  • You will be responsible for the development, support and maintenance of the deployment packages for our Structural Analysis & Design application products.
  • You will also be responsible for the development of additional software support services that continue to make our software easier and more efficient for clients to deploy, manage and use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain the DevOps workflow for multiple Windows desktop software products, including:
  • Product installations using InstallShield Automation scripts using Powershell
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines using Visual Studio and TeamCity
  • Improve productivity and quality by utilising more digital automation
  • Collaborate with the teams responsible for delivering other Tekla products
  • Perform thorough testing to ensure that requirements are met reliably and robustly
  • Test automation framework maintenance and development
  • Work closely with our BIM & Engineering DevOps team

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring:

  • A background in software engineering, either at educational or professional level
  • Experience in a high level programming language (C#, Java, Powershell, etc.)
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Ability to learn and adapt fast to changes and new environments
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • Positive attitude, active and enthusiastic about software engineering
  • Experience/knowledge of Git based systems and Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies like Azure and AWS
  • Experience using AI tools for rapid development of POCs / utilities
  • We also value any existing experience of Microsoft Installer (MSI) and software build and deployment tools including InstallShield, Team City and Git.
