Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are searching for Recycling Operatives in partnership with DHL at Gatwick Airport. This job offers fantastic hours and overtime opportunities. This is a very enjoyable role with a great company and fantastic conditions and facilities.

Start dates: 22nd June 2026

What's on offer:

  • Rate of pay: £13.41 per hour
  • Shift Pattern: 4-on / 4-off
  • DAYS: 06:00AM to 18:00PM
  • Weekly Pay (every Friday)
  • Temp to Perm (performance based)
  • Free parking

Key Duties:

  • Heavy Lifting up to the weight of 32kg
  • Sort recyclables and check the right kind of materials have been put out
  • Use machinery to help you lift and sort items
  • Inspect materials for any contamination
  • Working well within a large team environment
  • Working in a safe manner
  • Operating Mechanical Handling Equipment
  • Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
  • Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions
  • Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedure, rules and schedules

Requirements:

  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative, while being part of a team
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Five year fully checkable reference history
  • Ability to pass Criminal Record Check (CRC)
