What you’ll be doing
As a key member of our Finance team, you’ll:
- Partner with Customer & Commercial team leaders to deliver financial insight and strategic guidance
- Develop budgets and targets for key metrics, analyse performance, and communicate insights clearly
- Provide variance analysis and trending techniques to measure success against budgets, forecasts, and business cases
- Support the Customer & Commercial Weekly Trading call and Monthly Business Review with timely, data-driven analysis
- Evaluate commercial projects and initiatives, offering financial recommendations that unlock value and maximise ROI
- Identify and develop reports, dashboards, and models to support decision-making
- Translate business questions into structured analysis and present findings in a clear, actionable way
- Provide general support to the Head of Finance - Stores & Commercial
Key areas of responsibility
- Gross Margin and Unit Economics forecasting and analysis
- Customer Acquisition lead indicators and ROI
- Consumer Finance reporting and analysis
- Supporting Stock Management and Clearance activities
- Input to Sourcing Working Group on Supplier Income and Trading Terms
Who we’re looking for
You’re proactive, detail-focused, and confident in making data tell a story. You’ll hit the ground running with:
- A professional finance qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
- Excellent Excel skills for creating spreadsheets, manipulating data, and presenting insights
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and confidence presenting to non-financial stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain the "so what" behind the numbers
- Meticulous attention to detail and experience working to tight deadlines
- Previous experience in retail is an advantage
- Experience using Tableau or other data visualisation tools is a bonus
