Responsibilities include:
- Strategic Leadership: You will help in leading the development and execution of strategic initiatives to grow the evaluation and benefits management work area.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including public sector agencies, private sector, and infrastructure operators. Provide strategic advice to clients, ensuring their goals are met with robust and proportional solutions.
- Technical Excellence: Provide oversight of the delivery of complex evaluation and benefits management projects. Enhance our technical capability and deliver high quality deliverables based on best practice in the field.
- Business Development: Work with a wider leadership team to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the evaluation and benefits management sector. Prepare bids and proposals.
- Team Development: Support the ongoing recruitment, mentoring and development of our high‑performing evaluation and benefits management team. Promote diversity and inclusion, ensuring a supportive and equitable workplace.

Qualifications:
- Extensive experience of working in the evaluation field.
- Higher degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Chartered Status or Membership in professional bodies such as the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) or Transport Planning Society (TPS) or UK Evaluation Society.
- Practical experience of applying mixed methods in evaluation.
- Proven expertise in theory‑based and experimental/quasi‑experimental evaluation design for projects and programmes relevant to the transport context.
- Proven track record in design and implementation of Benefits Management.
- Strong analytical competencies directly applicable to a consultancy setting.
- Critical thinker with problem solving mindset.
- Strong leadership, team management and mentoring capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results.
- Comprehensive knowledge of transport planning principles, policies and regulations in the UK.
