This role sits within the Payments and Cash Management team within the Finance Centre of Expertise, an important centralised function supporting the business. This role is responsible for core payment, cash management and accounts payable activities. Key Responsibilities
- Payments, Cash Management and Controls: Process and release supplier, staff expense and treasury payments accurately and within agreed cut-off times, escalating issues in line with service levels. Manage shared team inboxes and resolve queries within agreed SLAs. Execute FX and money market fund trades where required, in line with approved mandates.
- Reconciliations, Reporting and Month End: Prepare journals, cashflow reporting and balance analysis. Perform bank, control account and ledger reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances. Produce management information and reconciliation outputs for month end reporting.
- Expenses, Suppliers and Banking Administration: Process staff expenses and supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding, VAT treatment and policy compliance. Maintain supplier and bank master data, including onboarding checks and ongoing compliance reviews. Support bank account administration, including account opening and closure, signatories and KYC requirements.
- Audit, Improvements and Ways of Working: Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as required. Drive continuous improvement of processes and controls, including effective adoption of approved AI tools and automation solutions. Provide cover for colleagues and support ad hoc requests across the Payments and Cash Management team and wider Finance team as required.
Qualifications
- Experience in a treasury, accounts payable, payments or cash management role.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Effective stakeholder communication and customer service skills.
- Competent Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience using treasury and accounts payable systems such as Kyriba and Proactis.
- Familiarity with online banking platforms, including HSBC, NatWest, Barclays and Santander.
