You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Control site access and prevent unauthorised entry.
  • Monitor CCTV, alarms and other security systems.
  • Conduct internal and external security patrols.
  • Manage traffic flow, parking and key control.
  • Complete security equipment checks and maintain accurate records.
  • Issue visitor and contractor passes.
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies and lost property reports.
  • Adapt to different sites and operational requirements as a Relief Security Officer.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

  • Support employees, visitors and contractors on site.
  • Follow and promote health and safety procedures.
  • Report hazards, faults and unsafe practices.
  • Assist with evacuations and emergency incidents.
  • Challenge unsafe behaviour and escalate concerns when required.
  • Deliver professional customer service while demonstrating Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.

Qualifications

  • A valid SIA Licence.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • A 5-year checkable history information (or valid documentation covering any gaps).
  • No unspent criminal convictions.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
  • A reasonable commuting distance from the site(s).
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights and weekends.
  • A reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
