We have an exciting opportunity for a Method Developer Analyst to join our Analytical Method & Metabolism (AMM) team and take on the challenge of developing residue analytical methods for global field trials in the agrochemical sector.
Within the role you will develop analytical methods used globally to analyse Active Ingredient residues in complex crop and environmental matrices which underpin residue field trials supporting registration of sustainable crop protection products. Recent example includes TYMIRIUM® technology registration, which protects crops against soil-borne pests. You will solve analytical problems and deliver innovative technical solutions, with access to state of the art, high-end instrumentation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Development of HPLC LC-MS/MS analytical methods in raw and processed crop commodities, soil, water, body fluids, tissues, air and operator exposure studies.
- Managing method development studies placed with external partners in Contract Research Organisations (CROs) to ensure delivery of data of the appropriate quality to time and cost.
- Independently providing expert technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders to resolve analytical problems and facilitating transfer of technical knowledge.
- Developing expert knowledge and understanding of relevant global regulatory guidance documents and their implication to our development projects.
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of a degree or equivalent work experience in chemistry or a related discipline with relevant analytical chemistry content.
- Proficiency in developing HPLC chromatographic methods, preferably with experience of quantitative LC-MS/MS.
- The desire and aspiration to grow and develop in a laboratory based analytical and problem-solving role.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team to achieve project goals with effective communications skills.
- Capability to learn and apply new skills promptly.
- Experience of performing quantitative trace-level analysis from a wide range of sample matrices and sample processing and clean-up techniques such as solid phase extraction would be beneficial.
