- Monday to Friday (6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm alternating)

We have a new role at Valeo Foods in Blackpool, the heart of confectionery magic! We're on the lookout for a passionate and driven
Day Shift Team Manager to join our production crew and help us sprinkle some sparkle onto our operations.
As the
Day Shift Team Manager , you will lead the production area and people for your shift. You will have full accountability for the following:
- People Management
- Lead and supervise a team of production operators, technicians, and support staff within the designated area.
- Foster a positive team culture by providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Oversee training and development to ensure staff are fully trained and compliant with company procedures and the plant is manned correctly to cover absence, holidays, ect.
- Ensure effective communication across shifts and between departments to maintain smooth operations.
- Production & Process Management
- Oversee daily production activities, ensuring adherence to production schedules and operational targets.
- Identify and resolve operational challenges to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.
- Optimize processes for continuous improvement, ensuring adherence to production timelines and quality standards.
- GMP & Safety Compliance
- Ensure all operations comply with GMP standards, health, safety regulations, and food safety policies.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of the production area to ensure cleanliness, safety, and quality.
Qualifications
- Key Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or confectionery industry.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, health & safety, and food safety regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to drive results against set targets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- IT and PC knowledge – able to use widespread functions within relevant software.
- Ability to be able to work alone, or as part of a team with the ability to work quickly and under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills
- Good understanding of Health and Safety legislation
- An aptitude to develop new skills.
