We are currently recruiting for an experienced VacEx Driver / Operator to join a major civil engineering and infrastructure project in the West Midlands.

The Role

  • Driving and operating a Vacuum Excavator (VacEx)
  • Carrying out safe excavation works around underground utilities and services
  • Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with site safety procedures
  • Completing daily vehicle and plant checks
  • Working across various sites throughout the West Midlands as required

Essential Requirements

  • Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
  • Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • VacEx Operator Certification (CPCS A78 Vacuum Excavator Operator or equivalent)
  • CSCS Card

Preferred Experience

  • Minimum 1 year's experience operating HGV vehicles
  • Previous experience operating Vacuum Excavators on construction, utilities, or infrastructure projects
  • Emergency First Aid at Work qualification
  • Flexible approach to working hours and site locations
  • Ability and willingness to work away from home when required
