We are currently recruiting for an experienced VacEx Driver / Operator to join a major civil engineering and infrastructure project in the West Midlands.
The Role
- Driving and operating a Vacuum Excavator (VacEx)
- Carrying out safe excavation works around underground utilities and services
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with site safety procedures
- Completing daily vehicle and plant checks
- Working across various sites throughout the West Midlands as required
Essential Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
- Digital Tachograph Card
- VacEx Operator Certification (CPCS A78 Vacuum Excavator Operator or equivalent)
- CSCS Card
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 1 year's experience operating HGV vehicles
- Previous experience operating Vacuum Excavators on construction, utilities, or infrastructure projects
- Emergency First Aid at Work qualification
- Flexible approach to working hours and site locations
- Ability and willingness to work away from home when required
