We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager or Associate Director – Electrical Design Engineering to lead and develop an Electrical discipline within a growing building services consultancy. This is a senior leadership position combining technical design expertise, team leadership, and commercial responsibility, reporting to the Engineering Director. The role will play a key part in shaping the growth, capability, and delivery performance of the electrical engineering function.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the Electrical Engineering discipline across multiple projects
- Support business growth through technical input on bids and client engagement
- Act as a senior client-facing representative for the business
- Lead electrical design for commercial and residential developments
- Cover HV/LV systems, lighting, lighting control, small power, telecoms, CCTV and fire alarm systems
- Ensure compliance with UK regulations
- Produce and review design drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam or similar tools
- Conduct site surveys, technical reports and design recommendations
- Lead, mentor and develop engineers and junior staff
- Provide technical guidance and support
