Job Overview
We are currently looking for an experienced Slinger Signaller to join our team on a construction project. The successful candidate must hold a valid CPCS card and have experience assisting with lifting operations on construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely sling and secure loads ready for lifting operations.
- Direct crane operators using recognised hand signals and communication systems.
- Ensure loads are correctly attached, balanced and secure before lifting.
- Check lifting accessories and equipment before use, reporting any defects.
- Maintain safe working distances and ensure exclusion zones are observed.
- Work closely with crane operators, lift supervisors and site management.
- Follow lifting plans, risk assessments and method statements.
- Ensure all lifting activities are carried out in accordance with site health and safety procedures.
- Stop lifting operations if unsafe conditions arise.
Essential Requirements
- Valid CPCS Slinger Signaller card – essential.
- Previous experience in a construction site environment.
- Good understanding of lifting operations and safe load handling.
