We are seeking an experienced Finishing Manager for a major National Grid energy infrastructure project in Carlisle, working for a leading Tier 1 contractor. This is a large-scale industrial/substation fit out project, requiring a strong site-based Finishing Manager to take ownership of finishing packages, subcontractors, and site quality delivery in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all finishing trades on a large industrial project
- Coordinate subcontractors and daily site activity
- Drive programme delivery and sequencing of works
- Ensure QA, snagging, inspections, and handover standards are achieved
- Work closely with MEP and site teams to coordinate interfaces
- Chair site progress meetings and report updates to PM
- Maintain H&S compliance and site standards
- Resolve site issues quickly to maintain productivity

- Raised access flooring
- Door sets / joinery (1st & 2nd fix)
- Painting and decorating
- Epoxy and vinyl flooring
- Fire stopping
- Builders work openings
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Finishing Manager / Site Manager (finishing phase)
- Strong industrial or commercial fit out background
- Subcontractor management experience essential
- Ability to manage programme, QA, and multiple trades
- Confident working with MEP / mechanical & electrical interfaces
- CSCS + SMSTS essential
- Substation / energy infrastructure experience beneficial but not essential
- Trade background advantageous
