We are seeking an experienced Finishing Manager for a major National Grid energy infrastructure project in Carlisle, working for a leading Tier 1 contractor. This is a large-scale industrial/substation fit out project, requiring a strong site-based Finishing Manager to take ownership of finishing packages, subcontractors, and site quality delivery in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all finishing trades on a large industrial project
  • Coordinate subcontractors and daily site activity
  • Drive programme delivery and sequencing of works
  • Ensure QA, snagging, inspections, and handover standards are achieved
  • Work closely with MEP and site teams to coordinate interfaces
  • Chair site progress meetings and report updates to PM
  • Maintain H&S compliance and site standards
  • Resolve site issues quickly to maintain productivity

  • Raised access flooring
  • Door sets / joinery (1st & 2nd fix)
  • Painting and decorating
  • Epoxy and vinyl flooring
  • Fire stopping
  • Builders work openings

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Finishing Manager / Site Manager (finishing phase)
  • Strong industrial or commercial fit out background
  • Subcontractor management experience essential
  • Ability to manage programme, QA, and multiple trades
  • Confident working with MEP / mechanical & electrical interfaces
  • CSCS + SMSTS essential
  • Substation / energy infrastructure experience beneficial but not essential
  • Trade background advantageous
