We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Grab Driver to join a major civil engineering and infrastructure project in the West Midlands. This is a great opportunity for a skilled driver with grab lorry experience to secure long-term work with excellent rates and overtime opportunities.
The Role
- Operating an HGV Class 2 grab lorry on construction and infrastructure sites
- Loading, transporting, and unloading materials safely and efficiently
- Carrying out daily vehicle and equipment checks
- Ensuring compliance with all road transport and site safety regulations
- Working across multiple sites throughout the West Midlands
Essential Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Grab Loader / HIAB Certification (ALLMI or NPORS preferred)
- CSCS Card
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience operating grab lorries
- Strong understanding of road safety and transport regulations
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Emergency First Aid at Work (desirable)
- Flexibility to travel between sites and work away from home if required
What’s on Offer
- £16.97 per hour PAYE or £22.00 per hour CIS
- Overtime paid at 1.33x rate after 8 hours and weekends
- Long-term 12-month assignment
