JML are currently recruiting for a Temporary Finance Administrator to provide cover for sickness and holidays within a busy finance/purchase ledger team. This role would suit a candidate available immediately for a short-term placement, including students looking for summer work before returning to university, though all suitable candidates are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing invoices against Goods Received Notes (GRNs)
- Sending processed invoices through workflow for approval
- Monitoring the shared Purchase Ledger inbox alongside the wider team
- Uploading invoices received by email or post
- Responding to supplier queries via phone and email
- Forwarding unprocessable invoices raised as workflow queries to relevant project teams for resolution
- Escalating urgent items (e.g. legal notices, payment-related issues) to the appropriate person
Requirements:
- Previous finance/administration experience preferred
- Comfortable working with invoices, purchase ledgers, and workflow systems
- Confident communicator, able to liaise with suppliers and internal teams
- Organised, accurate, and able to manage a busy inbox
Desirable:
- Payroll experience (bonus, not essential)
