We are currently recruiting for an experienced Environmental Manager to join a long-term rail infrastructure project in the Bristol area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced environmental professional to work on a major rail project, supporting the delivery team to ensure environmental compliance and best practice throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor environmental performance across the project.
- Ensure compliance with relevant environmental legislation, permits and project requirements.
- Develop, implement and maintain Environmental Management Plans and associated documentation.
- Carry out environmental inspections, audits and site visits.
- Identify environmental risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Provide environmental advice and guidance to project teams and site management.
- Monitor areas including waste, water, pollution prevention, ecology, noise and dust.
- Investigate environmental incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and relevant environmental authorities.
- Maintain accurate environmental records and produce reports.
