JML are looking for an experienced Design Manager to join a major residential construction programme in Rainham. You’ll be working across multiple projects, taking schemes from early design through to construction delivery, within a fast-paced main contractor environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing design delivery from RIBA Stages 1–5
  • Leading PCSA and pre-construction design coordination
  • Coordinating subcontractor design packages and technical submissions
  • Supporting planning, Building Control and BSR requirements
  • Managing design information through technical and construction stages
  • Working closely with commercial and delivery teams across live projects

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience as a Design Manager or Design Coordinator
  • Strong knowledge of RIBA stages 1–5
  • Background in residential or mixed-use construction projects
  • Experience managing design coordination across multiple disciplines
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations
  • Confident working with consultants, subcontractors and site teams

Nice to Have

  • Main contractor or developer experience
  • Exposure to PCSA / pre-construction stages
  • Experience with Building Safety Regulator (BSR) processes
  • Large-scale residential project experience
