JML are looking for an experienced Design Manager to join a major residential construction programme in Rainham. You’ll be working across multiple projects, taking schemes from early design through to construction delivery, within a fast-paced main contractor environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing design delivery from RIBA Stages 1–5
- Leading PCSA and pre-construction design coordination
- Coordinating subcontractor design packages and technical submissions
- Supporting planning, Building Control and BSR requirements
- Managing design information through technical and construction stages
- Working closely with commercial and delivery teams across live projects
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Design Manager or Design Coordinator
- Strong knowledge of RIBA stages 1–5
- Background in residential or mixed-use construction projects
- Experience managing design coordination across multiple disciplines
- Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations
- Confident working with consultants, subcontractors and site teams
Nice to Have
- Main contractor or developer experience
- Exposure to PCSA / pre-construction stages
- Experience with Building Safety Regulator (BSR) processes
- Large-scale residential project experience
