About the Role: Wombat Ward is a 16-bed paediatric level 3 inpatient unit providing care for general, surgical, orthopaedic and mental health paediatric patients aged 0–17 years. The ward delivers excellence in healthcare through a strong multidisciplinary approach, ensuring improved outcomes for patients and the Tasmanian community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care across a range of patient presentations.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Support patients and their families through their healthcare journey.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Mentor junior nurses and students to foster professional growth.
