Warracknabeal campus is one of three campuses and provides a comprehensive range of acute, urgent care, aged care, community health and allied services. Warracknabeal campus is located a short distance from Warracknabeal's central business district and approximately halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne.
Rural Northwest Health is seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Unit Manager to lead the Yarriambiack Lodge residential aged care facility at our Warracknabeal campus. Leading by example with well-developed professional, clinical and people management skills, the Nurse Unit Manager will ensure the care team provides safe and high-quality clinical care to residents in line with key guidelines and frameworks relevant to an aged care setting.
The successful candidate will have:
- Relevant post graduate training or education in aged care, acute medical or emergency nursing.
- Relevant post-graduate education in leadership and management, or plans to undertake.
- Demonstrated competence in leading and managing a team to deliver services that ensures safe, person-centered care.
- Knowledge of key guidelines and frameworks relevant to the role, including but not limited to Safe Patient Care Act, Code Grey requirements, National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage rosters and workforce needs.
- Adaptability to competing demands.
- Annual Flu vaccination.
- Current Police Clearance, Working with Children Check and NDIS Check, or willingness to obtain.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
