- Position Type: Permanent, Full Time (up to 76 hours per fortnight). Hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
- Salary: $118,297 β $125,543 per annum
- 12% Employer Superannuation contribution (in addition to salary)
- Salary in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023
- Post Graduate Allowance up to 10% (based on qualification type)
- Remote & Rural Professional Development Allowance: $3,797 per annum
- 10% Remote Allowance
- Salary Packaging Benefits: Up to $9,010 living expenses per FBT year, $2,650 meal entertainment per FBT year

The Position:
The Clinical Nurse Consultant β Aged Care is the clinical lead for Lyell House, the Residential Aged Care Facility at West Coast District Hospital. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and promoting best practice in aged care nursing and geriatric medicine
- Acting as Infection Control Lead for West Coast District Hospital
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and care planning with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Providing expert clinical advice and support to staff
- Supporting quality improvement, risk management, and compliance activities
- Assisting the NUM and DON with documentation, reporting, policy development, and admissions
- Supporting staff education and professional development in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Educator
- Collaborating with the Activities Coordinator to oversee resident activities
