JOB OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager - Ostomy, the Product Manager (Pouches & Accessories) – Ostomy is responsible for supporting the execution of the product vision and strategy of the Global Ostomy business. The Product Manager will take a holistic view of the product experience and will support the portfolio through all stages of the product lifecycle (from NPD to maintenance in market), maximising revenue, profit, market share and user experience.

The Product Manager acts as the voice of the user inside the Global Ostomy business and is an expert in translating their needs into product shaping information through NPD specification documentation (URS - ‘User Requirements Specification’ and MRS ‘Market Requirements Specification’). The Product Manager will support activities that help define and maintain our global product portfolio, ensuring we have both a commercially compelling and operationally effective product offering.

Working alongside colleagues in the Product & Insights Team, the Product Manager will play a key role in helping create and sustain a culture of embedding a user-based approach to all messaging, communication and development of our product propositions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working closely with the Senior Product Manager, maximise the commercial performance of the Global Ostomy Pouches & Accessories portfolio and support our ambition of delivering best-in-class global product management.
  • Own the Global Ostomy Pouches & Accessories portfolio throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring effective management from concept through to end of life while supporting the global commercial strategy.
  • Proactively manage the Global Ostomy Pouches & Accessories portfolio, optimising SKU complexity to balance commercial opportunity, operational efficiency and customer needs.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for the Global Ostomy Pouches & Accessories portfolio, using market, customer and commercial insights to identify opportunities for product enhancements and future developments.
  • Maximise the commercial potential of the portfolio by identifying opportunities for line extensions, lifecycle management and continuous product evolution.
  • Monitor global commercial performance and develop clear product strategies and recommendations when intervention is required to improve performance.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of global market dynamics, supporting research and analysis to identify emerging trends, unmet needs and commercial opportunities.
  • Lead competitor analysis for the Global Ostomy Pouches & Accessories portfolio, maintaining accessible and up-to-date intelligence that supports strategic decision-making across the business.
  • Partner with Quality and Regulatory teams to support commercial activities required to achieve and maintain MDR compliance across the Global Ostomy Pouches & Accessories portfolio.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to assess, plan and successfully implement changes to product specifications.
  • Champion the Global Ostomy Pouches & Accessories portfolio, ensuring product presentation, positioning and supporting materials consistently reflect the highest standards.
  • Deliver engaging product training for new Ostomy employees, tailoring content to meet the requirements of different functions and audiences where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical product documentation for the Global Ostomy Pouches & Accessories portfolio.

Product Development

  • Work in close partnership with Eakin R&D to play a leading role in the New Product Development (NPD) process, ensuring market, customer and user needs are translated into commercially successful product solutions.
  • Support the development and ongoing maintenance of the Global Product Roadmap, ensuring priorities align with strategic business objectives.
  • Play a key role in developing and executing go-to-market launch plans that deliver agreed commercial objectives and successful product introductions.
  • Collaborate closely with the ERD Innovation team to identify new growth opportunities across global ostomy markets and adjacent therapeutic areas.
  • Actively contribute to the NPD stage-gate process, ensuring projects progress effectively and products are launched successfully and on time.
  • Partner with the Global Marketing Team to develop compelling product positioning, value propositions and messaging, underpinned by robust market, customer and user insights.
