Recruiter: Hannah Mayfield Internal Closing Date: 5th November 2024 Job Description We’re recruiting for an Investment Director to join Legal and General Asset Management’s Digital Infrastructure team. What you’ll be doing: In this exciting position, you will be covering our Asset Management division’s digital infrastructure private equity strategy, including investment strategy, reporting, team, fundraising etc. The Investment Director will be working on the overall strategy which covers the following sectors: data centres, fibre, wireless infrastructure and digital focused service businesses. You will be working across the following geographies: UK, EU, US sourcing new digital infrastructure investments. The Investment Director will be engaged in individual equity investments of €50-200m taking minority to majority stakes. The strategy invests both L&G balance sheet and 3rd party client capital. You will be working in transaction execution, either as the lead or with the MD on new investments, bolt-ons, refinancings and exits. You will have good Asset Management knowledge, with previous experience managing portfolio companies, attending and/or sitting on portfolio company boards. Please note that this role is classified as a Certified role under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR), with the Investment Director being a Certified Person, as provided in the Role Description. Qualifications Who we’re looking for: We would like to speak with candidates who have significant experience in an investment role covering at least one or more digital infrastructure sub sectors, you will have proven investment, analytical and judgement capabilities. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable transaction experience with a strong track record in one or more digital infrastructure sub sectors, with the ability to manage and lead the transaction and team. We are keen to engage with Investment Directors who have a deep and broad network in the sector, with strong interpersonal and networking skills. You will likely have experience from one of the following backgrounds: another PE / infra fund or advisor. The position will be EU focused, and so it is expected that the Investment Director will be fluent in at least one of the following languages: German, French, Spanish, Italian. You will be commercially astute and entrepreneurially minded, with strong strategic thinking and big picture mindset. We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, tenacious and a self-starter. You will have great communication and presentation skills.
