They have a unique position in the market and many established brands that are household names. They have amazing offices based in central London. Job Description This is a brilliant role for the right candidate. The General Counsel is quite new to the role and joins from another FMCG company. He is looking for an EA who is going to be an EA but more at the level of a Business Manager, or perhaps with some Chief of Staff responsibilities. This role will be very much in partnership with him and you will act as a sounding board. You will act as a strong gatekeeper for him, take full control of his diary and travel. You will also need to be capable of upwardly managing him, rather than him managing you. You will do proofreading of some presentations and documents before they are circulated at meetings. You will attend meetings with him and are likely to be required to travel with him 3-4 times a year for 2-4 days at a time. This role is required in the office 4 days a week, but if your boss is traveling without you, then it is more than likely you would be able to work from home during these times. This is a brilliant role for the right person and has so much scope. The Successful Applicant You will: Have supported a General Counsel, ideally for a large company; FMCG is ideal but this isn’t an absolute requirement Be an EA who can manage upwards Be very commercial and business savvy Have excellent attention to detail along with excellent verbal and written communication Be able to proofread Be able to travel with the GC 3-4 times a year for 2-4 days at a time. You will be aware of this in advance; it wouldn’t suddenly be sprung on you.
