Discuss assignment instructions, rhetorical situation, purpose and thesis; develop goals for session with the student; provide reader response to student\’s work.Primary ResponsibilitiesTutor NKU students who request assistance in improving their writing skills on specific writing assignments; maintain accurate records.Weekly mandatory trainings Fridays at 3:00 pm.QualificationsWriting Center consultants must carry 6 or more semester credit hours during time of employment (3 credit hours for graduate students); GPA of 3.50 or higher; 30 or more undergraduate semester credit hours earned including ENG 101 & ENG 102/291W or HNR 101 & 102 or equivalent; excellent writing and oral communication skills; faculty recommendation (not required at time of application).
