Social network you want to login/join with:As a WMS Engineer, you’ll be part of one of our Engineering teams, creating great products by following best practice architectural and engineering principles, operating frameworks for our new and improved tech applications and solutions.You will be working on our Warehouse management systems as we embark on a transformation journey to modernise our Logistics Tech working with Gartner leading applications such as Blue Yonder WMS, Manhattan and Korber’s Warehouse Advantage you’ll be part of the configuration design, development and running of our critical business systems.You’ll have expertise in the configuration of warehouse management systems with experience in warehouse processes, with programming skills in SQL Server and Azure Cloud with your technical craft, curiosity and experimentation, you’ll use judgement to apply specific techniques to deliver focused outcomes that enable our Logistics colleagues.We’d also like you to be yourself – analytical, curious and unafraid to learn new skills or challenge the status quo.You’ll constantly strive to improve the way things are done in your team, contributing as a progressive member of the engineering community.More about the role· You’ll contribute towards our product technical roadmap· You’ll work with Cloud technology· You’ll work with Senior Engineers to design and support services and internal frameworks that enhance Sainsbury’s Group capabilities· Engineering throughout the whole product lifecycle, including decommissioning· You’ll consider the cost and service support implications of your engineering choicesMore about you· Possess expertise in one or more of the following WMS – BY Dispatcher, Manhattan, Korber – WA· Have programming language expertise in one or more languages, ideally SQL· Expertise in engineering practice, including knowledge of engineering and architectural principles· Proven experience of software design and implementation, security and cloud· Self-drive and constantly striving to improve your team, division and peers· Drive for advocacy of agile/lean delivery methodologies· A passion for delivering solutions to customers, owning and living the DevOps principles· A passion for enhancing your knowledge and evidence curiosity in emerging tech· Display empathy and understanding in supporting colleagues in the team to deliverWe’d all like amazing work to do, and real work-life balance.
