Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionAbout the Role:We are seeking a strategic and operationally strong VP of IT to lead our organization\’s IT and Business Systems strategy. The VP of IT will be responsible for developing and executing an enterprise-wide IT strategy aligned with G&H business goals, driving innovation, and ensuring the efficient, secure, and scalable use of technology across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipDevelop and execute the company’s IT and business systems strategy in alignment with business objectives.Serve as a key member of the Group’s senior leadership team, providing input on business decisions from a information systems standpoint.Lead business systems transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and business agility.IT Operations & InfrastructureOversee the day-to-day operation of the IT function including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and service delivery.Ensure the resilience, security, and compliance of all IT systems, particularly with regards to Cyber Essentials + and US CMMC requirements.Establish robust business systems disaster recovery and business continuity plans.Governance & Risk ManagementImplement IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.Manage information and cyber riskTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead and develop a high-performing IT and Business Systems team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.Build and maintain strong relationships across G&H to ensure the IT and Business Systems team supports and enhances business operations.Vendor & Budget ManagementManage the IT budget effectively, ensuring cost control and maximizing return on technology investments.Oversee supplier relationships and negotiations, ensuring performance and value for money from IT service providers.RequirementsRequired Skills & Experience:Proven experience as VP of IT , IT Director, or equivalent senior technology leadership role within a mid-to-large UK organization.Track record of delivering IT transformation programs, ideally within a regulated or high-growth environment.Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, enterprise applications, and cybersecurity.Understanding of data privacy laws and UK and US regulatory frameworks (e.g. UK GDPR, Cyber Essential +, CMMC).Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Desirable AttributesInnovative mindset with a passion for emerging technologies and digital trends.Commercial acumen and experience integrating IT strategy with business strategy.Ability to lead change and achieve cross-functional collaboration.Experience in a technology and manufacturing business would be advantageous.QualificationsBachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related fieldMasters Degree with a specialization in IT Management or Computer Science preferred.Notes: This job description is not intended to be exhaustive in every respect, but rather to clearly define the fundamental purpose, responsibilities and dimensions for the role.
