We have ambitious plans to continue our growth and become the global market leader. To drive this growth, the company is seeking to engage a Pre-Sales Engineer / Technical Project Manager. You will be a key member of the team, managing customer engagement with PervasID’s product to help us achieve financial growth through demonstrating and improving on our market-leading product performance. This role will report to the Director of Technical Pre-Sales Engineering.Job DescriptionThe primary role within the team is planning and management of customer trials, pilots, and demonstrations in support of the company’s Business Development objectives. This includes introducing the system to the customer, planning the physical layout at a customer site, supporting the customer’s deployment and integration with the system, optimising the system’s ongoing performance, and ultimately communicating this performance through detailed analysis of the results.You will also be working closely with both our Engineering and Customer Experience teams to ensure the product performance and functionality meets the customers’ requirements, and investigate methods of system optimisation in customer applications, both in lab and customer environments.You will be self-motivated, proactive, and have a desire to take ownership of specific problems and develop your own task plan to investigate and resolve them.ResponsibilitiesWork at all levels of the pilot/trial process, including:Working with customers to understand their application requirementsResponsibility for the planning of trials, pilots, and demonstrations to meet customer requirementsOn and off site customer support, deployment, and testingProviding an interface between the Engineering team and the customer when application/middleware software integration is requiredConfiguration, operation, and optimisation of PervasID and 3rd party equipment within both lab and customer environmentsAnalysing the data from trials and pilots and presenting the results to customersRequired Technical SkillsDegree or equivalent, preferably in a computing or scientific disciplineEarly career experience in software developmentMinimum of 5 years’ experience working in a commercial product environmentDemonstrable skills in project management within a technical and field-based product installation environmentPractical knowledge and experience of data analysisOther Useful SkillsUnderstanding of RF systems (e.g. transmitters, receivers, antennas, and propagation)Set up, configure and PervasID RFID reader systems in customer environments (e.g. VM in cloud or on-premises)Understanding of IP networkDesire to learn and understand in customer system architectureEssential AttributesMust be organized and have a methodical approach to problem solvingAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent interpersonal communications, especially in a customer-facing environmentA willingness to travelHands-on approachWillingness to work with other areas of the business, including with technical staff should need ariseThis is a full-time position and will require frequent travel to customer sites.For further information or to apply for any of these positions please send a copy of your CV and a covering letter to jobs@pervasid.comWe manage all personal data in accordance with current legislation.
