Job Description SummaryThe Software Certification Engineer will lead the software certification efforts for certification planning as well as regulatory compliance oversight for assigned projects and products for all of Aviation Systems. Our Systems business comprises a wide cross section of aviation products which includes power generation, power distribution, navigation, cockpit displays, computing and networking, ignition systems, sensors, and propellers.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesSupport programs in determining product certification strategy and certification basisSupport compliance planning and determination of means of complianceSupport / contribution to creation of cohesive project plansReview of development artefacts, where applicablePerform certification audit pre-assessments both of internal projects and external suppliersAudit project / product artifacts and verification activities to assess compliance with the certification basisSupport to Customer AR / Regulatory Authority auditsSupport and collaboration with Integrated Project Teams to resolve audit Findings/Actions/ObservationsSupport to / participation in industry working groupsRequired QualificationsSoftware development and/or certification experience in a RTCA/DO-178B or C environmentExperience of demonstrating compliance to certification regulationsBaseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
