Sites – Ambrose King Centre, Whitechapel and Sir Ludwig Guttman Centre, StratfordBarts Health NHS Trust are seeking a dynamic, skilled, experienced Practitioner to join our Sexual Health Advising team providing Safeguarding sexual health services across the boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Newham and Waltham Forest.The post holder will act as a site lead for safeguarding, providing consultation, training and supervision in relation to sexually active young people and adults and those identified at risk of Child Sexual Exploitation. This postholder will also provide support for a range other vulnerabilities within our service such as Domestic Abuse, Non-recent Sexual Abuse, Criminal Exploitation and high-risk sexual behaviour. The post holder should be skilled in scope of Health Advisory work within specialist settings and have significant demonstrable experience in supervising, coaching and /or developing staff in provision of sexual health care.The post holder will work closely with MDT clinical and management leads to focus upon quality and service improvement in relation to patient experience, safety and innovation. Applicants should be able to demonstrate objective, measurable improvements in relation to current or previous roles and have the ability to consult, influence and workThe post holder will act as a designated Adult & Young People’s Safeguarding Advisor for Barts Health All East Integrated sexual health services, coordinating, supporting and assuring sexual health safeguarding activities across Borough based services.As part of this role, the post holder will maintain clinical expertise though deliver of direct clinical care (Health Advising) as part of the sexual health multidisciplinary team.The post holder will provide safeguarding adult and young people’s advice and support, safeguarding supervision, multi-disciplinary psychosocial meetings, and both single and inter-agency training to practitioners.
