We are currently seeking two Senior Building Inspectors (ideally Class 2A-F) to join our team. We operate in a highly competitive marketplace, providing high-quality services to the communities and businesses of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The Role: The current opportunities are mainly based in our site inspection team, but we are also considering applicants interested in remote plan checking work. Each inspection area is equipped with a dedicated pool car. The plan checking role can be performed remotely, anywhere within the UK. Working Arrangements: We offer flexible working patterns to support your work-life balance. The formal location for this role is our Bodmin office, but the Building Control team is primarily home-based, with additional office bases across Cornwall. What you’ll need to succeed: Keen, customer-focused candidates with proven experience in a high-quality Building Control environment. Knowledge of legislation and technical documents related to Building Regulations, workload management skills, and excellent customer service and negotiation skills are essential. Ability to contribute to the service\’s productivity and work independently in a professional manner. Qualification with a relevant degree and full membership of a professional body such as RICS, CABE, or CIOB is preferred. Ideally, you will be a Class 2A-F Registered Building Inspector or registered at Class 2A RBI. We are eager to hear from those seeking a new challenge!
