What You\’ll DoEngineering Consulting Services (ECS) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring that all tasks on a project, from proposal to final invoice payment, are completed either by the individual or by subordinates. The Senior Project Manager will oversee the project\’s success and serve as the main client contact, embodying a positive customer service attitude and understanding ECS Core Values.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage natural resource components of FDOT transportation projects from planning through construction.Conduct and oversee ecological fieldwork, including wetland delineations, protected species surveys, and habitat assessments.Prepare and review technical reports such as NEPA documents, Natural Resources Evaluations, Wetland Evaluation Reports, Essential Fish Habitat assessments, and Endangered Species Biological Assessments.Guide the development of environmental permit applications, including ERP, USACE Section 404, and Section 10 permits.Coordinate with FDOT District Environmental Management Offices, water management districts, FDEP, USACE, USFWS, and NMFS.Lead multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring quality control and compliance with FDOT standards and schedules.Support business development activities, including proposal writing, client presentations, and strategic teaming.Mentor junior staff and foster technical excellence within the team.What We\’re Looking ForBachelor\’s degree (10+ years of experience) or Master\’s degree (preferred) in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Natural Resources, or related field.8-15+ years of progressive experience in natural resources consulting, with at least 5 years of direct FDOT project experience.Proven success managing FDOT PD&E and Design Phase natural resource efforts.Strong understanding of state and federal permitting, including ERP, USACE Section 404, ESA, and NEPA.Proficient in ArcGIS, GPS data collection, and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.Willingness and ability to travel throughout the state for fieldwork and client meetings.Who We AreECS Group of Companies (ECS), founded in 1988, is a leader in geotechnical, construction materials, environmental, and facilities consulting services.
