As a luxury fashion company with a strong ethical standpoint we are leaders and innovators in our industry.Overview:Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Senior Licence Business Development Manager is responsible for strategically managing and growing the licensing operations. This role provides leadership and oversight to ensure licensing activities are commercially successful while upholding the integrity of the Stella McCartney brand values. The Senior Licence Business Development Manager serves as the primary liaison between Stella McCartney and its external licensing partners, fostering strong collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to drive alignment and maximize revenue opportunities.This is a 12 month fixed term maternity cover contract starting in November 2025, based in our West London HQ.Key Responsibilities:Deal Management: Lead end-to-end licensing efforts, including identifying, sourcing, negotiating, and finalising inbound and outbound licensing agreements.Performance Management: Monitor and report on performance of licensing agreements and partnerships to ensure compliance and achievement of commercial targets.Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with legal, marketing, product development, R&D, and finance teams to integrate licensing strategies with broader company initiatives.Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, particularly within Design and Merchandising, to ensure brand consistency and product excellence.Product Development: Support the Licensing Manager with the development of licensed product categories from initial design concept through final launch, ensuring all products meet brand standards and market demands.Market Analysis & Insights: Conduct in-depth market and competitor research to identify emerging trends, evaluate product opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations to the CCO and leadership team.Financial Accountability: Define annual royalty targets and contribute to the development of the 3-year strategic plan in collaboration with the CCO. Monitor quarterly performance against budget, identify potential risks and opportunities, and implement strategies to maximize revenue.Reporting & Communication: Conduct comprehensive analyses of quarterly licensing reports, highlighting key performance drivers, identifying areas for improvement, and presenting findings to the CCO and executive management.Partner Relationship Management: Organize and lead regular update meetings with licensing partners, ensuring Stella McCartney\’s interests are represented and that partners are aligned with the brand\’s strategic objectives. Support the CCO in nurturing strong, collaborative relationships with key partners.Approval Oversight: Oversee all account approvals for licensed products, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines and quality standards.
