Senior Geo-Structural Engineer

Experience in structural design and technical management for underground infrastructure for water/wastewater, transportation, transit, and railroad projects is preferred. The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for leading the design process and review, creating structural models using computer-aided technology, and providing structural services in geotechnical, natural resources, tunnels, and railroad markets.ResponsibilitiesSupport project opportunities locally and nationwide in coordination with Shannon & Wilson office managers and practice leads.Support marketing services with qualifications input to proposals, participating in project interviews, and presentations.Developing project scope of work, budgets, and follow cost control strategies.Provide mentoring and technical guidance to support junior and entry level engineers.Prepare and write engineering reports, analyses, specifications, drawings, and calculations.Provide technical review and quality assurance.Provide engineering services during construction to include reviewing contractor submittals, response to requests for information, and periodic site visits.Interact and communicate with clients, vendors, and staff at all levels.Support developing cost estimates for designs.Follow and promote Shannon and Wilson\’s Health and Safety and Loss Prevention policies.RequirementsBachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering.Master or PhD Degree in structural engineering is preferred.Minimum 14years of experience in structural engineering for underground structures preferred.Professional Civil Engineering (PE) License is required.Professional Structural Engineering (SE) License is desired.Experience with delivering structural projects with public and private clients.Experience with multiple contracting methodologies such as design bid build and design build.Active participation in the local, regional and national industry related conferences and seminars.Demonstrated experience using 3-D structural analysis software.
