Our Chief Operating Office Early Careers team play a critical role in both our Early Career strategy and STEM/Change outreach strategy. We provide a sustainable talent pipeline for our growing IT and change teams. You’ll be a strong team player and comfortable with colleagues across all levels of seniority.Day-to-day you will:Manage the communications to internal and external stakeholders of our programmes and partnershipsCreate and maintain change and technology related development materials to deliver agreed outcomesSupport and refine talent processes, including attraction, onboarding, recruitment, development, business readiness and deploymentEffective coaching and feedback to direct reports to ensure achievement of agreed outcomesAdvise individuals on career paths and encourage development of skills and capabilitiesDrive continuous improvement across the scheme, including managing some of our partners and suppliersAbout youWe need someone with a talent management/skills development background who can build and maintain strong relationships with early career direct reports, their line managers and with senior colleagues across the SocietyA background in change, technology, IT design and delivery of training or teaching, testing learning platforms and working with third partiesAdditionally, you’ll need:A passion for encouraging a diverse and inclusive mix of people to kick start a career in technology and change – ranging from school students, apprentices, interns, industrial placements, graduates, and career changersUnderstanding of early careers offerings, outreach activities and recruitment within the external marketExcellent communication skills both verbal and written; you’ll be documenting and delivering training material to a range of stakeholders; therefore you’ll also need the ability to influence at all levelsExperience of talent programmes and/or technical coaching backgroundExperience of promoting and delivering development eventsExperience of the pastoral care of emerging talent such as a coach or line managerOur customer first behaviours put customers and members at the heart of how we work together.
