Our client, a prominent law firm, are recruiting for an ambitious Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join their Care team in their established Leicester, Leicestershire office.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in public and private child care law to work alongside respected legal professionals in a progressive and collaborative team.Main Responsibilities Of The RoleReport directly to Department DirectorProfessional pro-active approach, strong client care skills and a sensitive and sympathetic understanding of clients’ needsAssisting with casework including dealing with a range of public and private children cases including child abduction; child protection issues; special guardianship and adoption matters as well as undertaking your own advocacyAttending clients, taking instructions and preparing casesDealing with correspondenceMaintaining accurate time costing proceduresImplementing any recommendations made by your supervisor following monthly file reviews ensuring that these are dealt with promptlyEnsuring compliance with file managementKey Skills Required:Demonstrate passion and experience in a broad range of publicly funded Child Care LawA strong academic background with a Law degreeLegal experience as a Child Care Paralegal/AdvisorClear understanding and application of Children LawsBusiness acumen and the ability to market the CompanyExcellent communications skills to work effectively with all types of peopleExcellent analytical and organisational skills and ability to use own initiative but know when to seek guidanceCommitted team player, self -motivated and professionalExcellent IT Skills -familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skillsBenefits26 days annual leave + bank holidaysAfter a year service get your birthday offPensionMedicashFlexible workingSocial EventsOpportunity to earn bonusProgressionShould you have any questions or wish to apply please do not hesitate to contact Clear Legal and Financial Recruitment.Please Note: Due to the number of applications we receive we may be unable to respond to every application directly. #J-18808-Ljbffr
