We strive to be an organisation that is connected, insightful, curious and passionate in everything we do.This role is important to us and this is where you come in….You will be joining us at an exciting time as we set up our new RNID Near You care home pilot in Scottish Borders. As a Co-ordinator, you will focus and lead on developing and delivering this service across the Scottish Borders area through sessions in care homes to residents, their visitors and staff. We will be offering:practical hearing aid supportinformation on hearing loss and tinnitusYou will have responsibility for the set up and running of these sessions across the region in care home settings and be able to recruit, train and manage a team of up to 30 volunteers to deliver the service across the Scottish Borders.You will:Coordinate our volunteers to deliver a high level of service at our RNID Near You Care Home sessions.Recruit volunteers across the Scottish Borders.Work with NHS audiology and local RNID Near You Co-ordinator to induct and train our volunteers to high standards.Promote this service within the Care Home sector to ensure maximum engagement and uptake.Ensure all paperwork is processed correctly and reports to stakeholders are timely completed.YouYou want to make a difference in people’s lives and love to interact with various audiences, including volunteers, health & care professionals and service users.You have experience managing events, your own workload and are able to work evenings/ weekends if required.You are able to physically assist people with hearing aids sensitively, giving clear guidance and taking into account individual wishes and health needs.You are ready to work for a home-working organisation and have good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word.While home based, regular travel to Care Home venues will be required.What we can offer youDigital First, fully remote working with in person all-staff conferences throughout each yearFully remote working with no core hours£26 remote working allowance every month28 days annual leave plus all bank holidaysPlus 2 wellbeing days for extra flexibilitySickness benefit entitlement from day 1Pension scheme with 4% employer contributionLife Assurance – 2 x salaryEmployee Assistance Programme and wellbeing app that provides counselling sessionsAdditional benefits for maternity, paternity and adoptionAccess to an event ticketing platformOur commitment to diversityWe are committed to supporting our staff including making reasonable adjustments.
