We are known for the great care we take with clients and employees alike.GRF is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Millwright for the Afternoon shift.Afternoon shift – 2:00 pm – 11:00 pm Monday to Friday – some weekend overtime required.GRF operates in a cold, fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Applicants must be comfortable working with meat products (beef, pork, chicken, seafood, soy, etc.)RESPONSIBILITIES:Install, repair, and maintain all production-related equipment.Provide troubleshooting and support during all downtime events.Complies with all necessary manufacturing practices, regulations and standards, i.e., GMP, HACCP, WHIMIS, MSDS etc.Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance activities as needed to improve asset health.Maintain detailed records of all preventive and corrective maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)Collaborate with the maintenance planner to improve preventative maintenance activities.Identify and communicate, continuous improvement ideas to the management team.Actively promote health and safety in the workplace.Complete Maintenance reports and logs as required.Ensure all production equipment is serviced as requiredMonitor and adjust equipment to lower utility costsEnforce established safety, health, contamination and housekeeping policies and procedures to prevent injuries, lost production time, damage, and product contamination.Ensure work areas are always clean and hazard-free.Work safely and efficiently following legislated and company health and safety standards.Perform other duties as required.REQUIREMENTS:Valid Millwright licensewith proof of apprenticeshipAble to perform routine machine shop practices (lathe & milling machine operations),Experience welding stainless steel using TIG and ARCAble to troubleshoot and repair, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and controls2-5 years\’ industrial mechanical experience, preferably in the food industryService, clean and perform preventative maintenance and overhaul on all production equipment (spiral ovens, freezers, formers, cartoners, tray pack machines, bread, and batter equipment)Continually improve equipment function via design improvementsProblem-solving skills and good communication skillsKnowledge of appropriate health & safety and environmental regulationsAdherence to Food Safety ProtocolsMust have Ontario Millwright LicenseWages and Benefits:$44.66/hr, plus afternoon shift premium of $1.00/hr, for a total wage of $45.66/hr.GRF also offers its employees:Comprehensive benefits after a three-month probationOption to participate in GRF Pension Program after a three-month probation.As an essential business, we can offer steady shifts with plenty of opportunity for overtime, even in these trying timesProduct can be purchased at a reduced costAll company PPE provided$44.66 – $44.66 an hour#IND3At Sunrise Farms we are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
