Laboratory Technician – Southport, NCThis is a full-time, salary non-exempt position with rotating 12-hour shifts.Job Responsibilities:Perform routine analytical testing procedures accurately and timelyUse analytical results and feedback to determine calibration needs and adjustments for test equipmentRecord and compile test results to prepare graphs, charts, and reports as requiredCommunicate results to internal/external customers via COAs, verbal, or written documentationProvide independent oversight of processes, verifying compliance with standards and policies, and communicate deviations to Lab Techs and managementSchedule and execute sample submissions to external laboratories and document external testing resultsProvide ongoing training and process improvement ideas for Lab Techs on evening shiftsConduct routine quality control testing and maintain accurate QA recordsMaintain a safe, sanitary laboratory environmentParticipate actively in quality, food safety, and safety programsSupport the QFS Manager by verifying inventory of testing supplies and maintaining cleanlinessWe ensure reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities during the application and employment process.
