Social network you want to login/join with:Please note that this is a permanent position, and we do not offer freelance/contract arrangements for this role.About the role:We are looking for a new member for our “Virtual Infrastructure Services” team to share their passion for IT technologies and help us improving our services.This position is centralized on the management, support and evolution of the Converged (Vxblock) and Hyper-Converged (Nutanix) infrastructure, hypervisor technologies (AHV & VMWARE) and Backup and Archive solutions in a 24/7 production environment.One of the primary goals of the virtualization engineer role will be to maintain, design and build (automation) solutions for the virtual infrastructure services offered by the team to reduce manual efforts and increase team efficiency.Responsibilities:Installation, Configuration, and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain IT technologies within the IT infrastructure. This includes ensuring that all software and hardware components are up-to-date and functioning correctlySystem Monitoring and Performance Tuning: implement and use monitoring tools to ensure system availability and performance. Perform routine system audits and capacity planning.Collaboration and Documentation: work with development teams and other IT staff to support infrastructure needs and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems and procedures.Security Management: implement and maintain security best practices for infrastructure, including patch management, antivirus solutions, and vulnerability assessments(Support) the automation of recurrent activitiesPropose harmonization of existing automation developments.Participate in the Day-to-Day service support (incident, alerts, changes, …);Provide on-call support during out-of-business hours (24/7 watch duty);Take part in the disaster recovery management for the virtual infrastructure (RDR, SWAP, LDR, …);Offer consulting services to “OS” teams (Windows, Linux, Office, Tandem, Mainframe), projects and other customersSupport the private cloud strategy in the organization.Requirements:Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, service engineering or service operationsIn depth experience with management of AHV and/or VMware virtualization environmentsGood experience with Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructuresGood experience with Dell Vxblock converged infrastructuresYou are passionate about automation and DevOpsKnowledge and experience in Ansible/Tower, PowerShell & pythonExperience with storage infrastructure management (VMAX, VNXe, SRDF, S3) is a plusYou are fluent in English, knowledge in French or Dutch is a plusWorking experience in an agile contextDrive and energy, entrepreneurial demeanor, hands-on mentalityOpen to work in a fast moving technical and human environmentAble to quickly diagnose system problems and implement solutions to restore functionalityContinuing to perform efficiently during difficult situations with high pressureBe analytical to resolve incident and problemsGood collaborator with others as part of larger teamOpen to change and evolutionBe able to work with strict deadlines and handle complex situations #J-18808-Ljbffr
