This is an exciting opportunity to create visually striking, market-disrupting products that solve everyday consumer problems. Working across multiple product categories you will develop inventive, insight-led designs that create meaningful user experiences and leave a lasting impression.What you will be doing:Solving everyday problems with bold, inventive ideas.Identifying opportunities and problems that will lead to high ROI product designs.Managing multiple projects from research through to commercially viable concept designs.Challenging the ordinary to create new disruptive designs.Building low fidelity test rigs and prototypes.Creating 3D prints of your solutions to test and critique.Collaborating with other designers and design managers in the team.Clearly presenting ideas to the senior team.Liaising with design managers and preparing clear and concise handover presentations.Delivering concepts in-line with the critical path.What we need from you:An undergraduate (or masters) degree in Industrial Design or Product Design.A minimum of 5 years experience.Strong industrial design skills with a proven track record of success.A portfolio showing an inventive nature turning ideas into commercially viable products.An ability to effectively manage time whilst working to tight critical paths on multiple projects.A natural flair to clearly communicate ideas to senior teams.A good understanding of manufacturing techniques and processes.Excellent knowledge of design applications such as, Adobe CS, Solidworks and KeyShot.A creative thought process with a self-motivated drive to create ‘big ideas’.An entrepreneurial hands-on approachAn adaptable, reliable character with the ability to easily engage with others.The ability to challenge conventional thinking, whilst keeping ideas commercial.What you’ll get from us:Competitive salary and holiday allowanceCompany performance related bonusHybrid working – 3 days in office, 2 days at homePension contribution24/7 healthcare appointment supportExclusive staff discountHoliday trading (buy/sell)Volunteer daysHoliday carry-over schemeExtra holiday days for long serviceMonthly team recognition schemeFlexible start/finish timesAccess to PerkboxSeason-ticket loanCycle-to-work scheme #J-18808-Ljbffr
