i2, a Harris Computer company, are seeking a skilled Software Developer, to join one of our core development teams and help us enhance our i2 products and services, which are used by more than 2000 law enforcement, national security, military and major commercial organizations in 130 countries across the world.The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining current and new capability to an existing large customer base. If you are passionate about creating efficient and scalable solutions, have a strong command of front-end technologies, and are eager to collaborate within a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.This permanent position will be performed on a remote basis with a requirement to visit the i2 Office in Cambridge, UK as and when there is a business need to do so (circa 2 days per month).What you will doIn performing this position, your core duties and responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):Helping develop and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable frontend code using HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, and ReactWorking closely with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product managers, to deliver high-quality user interfacesEnsuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize solutions for maximum speed and scalabilityIntegrating frontend components seamlessly using RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handlingConducting thorough testing (automated and manual) to identify, fix bugs, and performance issuesMentoring junior developers and promote knowledge sharing to enhance team skills and productivityStaying up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications are built using the best practicesOur Technology StackFrontend App Framework – JavaScript / TypeScript / ReactFrontend State Management – MobxBackend – Java REST/GraphQL ServicesCI / CD – GitHub / CircleCICloud – AWSWhat we are looking forA Bachelor\’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related fieldMid to senior level experienced developerDemonstrable success and involvement in software design and implementation of production-ready clients using technologies such as: HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, Typescript, and ReactExperience with APIs and using patterns such as REST and GraphQLExperience with testing frameworks and methodologies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality softwareStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and collaboration skillsDesirable (but not essential)Experience creating accessible and globalized web applications (A11Y, I18N + L10N)Good understanding of backend development using Node.jsExperience working with geolocation/geospatial dataExperience with graph visualization libraries to represent complex data structures visuallyExperience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker)About i2Our intelligence analysis software tools help analysts and investigators transform data in real-time, enabling customers to detect, disrupt, and defeat sophisticated threats.
