The Hospitality Director will work with the Pastor and church leadership to create a comprehensive mission and vision to facilitate guest and member services and to assist families through a meaningful membership process. The Director will oversee the ongoing training and development of teams to provide contagious hospitality. The Director develops a thriving culture of hospitality by building teams of volunteers and staff that welcome and connect guests and new members to family life and programs available at FMCE. The Director will also work with various support teams within FMCE to plan church-wide events to increase fellowship opportunities.POSITION REPORTS TOPastor and Staff Parish Relations CommitteeMAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIESHospitality Ministry:Lead and manage the Hospitality Team’s efforts during Sunday morning ministries that support the overall mission and vision for guest and member services. Ensure that necessary errands and duties are executed to prepare for Sunday morning hospitality efforts. Maintain an effective communication network and rotation schedule between volunteers and church staff to promote ministry efficiency.Recruit, train, and place volunteers in all areas of hospitality.Work to create welcoming environments in common spaces.Collaborate with the Pastor concerning the Safety Team.Work with the Pastor to develop an annual budget for the Guest Services and Hospitality ministries. Manage the Hospitality Budget.Guest and Member Assimilation:Coordinate attendees with the Pastor to schedule membership meetings, Baptisms, and other events critical to the assimilation of the attendee into membership and the life of the church.Assist with follow up procedures for guests in an effort to assimilate into the life of the church by working with other ministries and ensuring ongoing contact.Follow up with attendees/members who request information or assistance in getting more involved with FMCE, manage and coordinate to update guest and member records as it relates to ministry involvement and assimilation.Develop, track, and maintain processes for membership related to Shelby Next.Church-wide Events:Coordinate with support teams to plan church-wide events including, but not limited to: Wednesday Night Dinners, Founders Day Lunch, Ministry Kick-off, Volunteer Appreciation Dinner.Use social media to promote events for FMCE.Work with Pastor and Staff to schedule the facilities for events.Communicate with Maintenance/Housekeeping to prepare the facilities for events.Lead and enlist volunteers as needed to provide hospitality for church-wide special events.Other duties as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIESExperience in hospitality and former employment working with people.Willingness to learn new skills and pursue potential certifications in social media, serv-safe, and other needed certifications if needed.References affirming their ability to relate with other people, develop volunteers and people around them, and increase interpersonal skills.Please send resumes and inquiries to pastor@fmce.church #J-18808-Ljbffr
